Marinate 1lb scallops in the following, preferably overnight: 1/4 cup real maple syrup 2 tbsp stone ground mustard (substitute honey mustard for a sweeter taste) 1 tbsp fresh basil 1/4 tsp salt 1/2 tsp pepper Different ways to cook the scallops: Grill in aluminum foil for 10 minutes. You do not have to turn. Saute in your favorite oil on the stovetop for 8 minutes, flipping scallops halfway. Don't overcook scallops, they will become too chewy, tough and unpleasant! And it's a lot of work to get scallops from the ocean floor to your plate!
